Description

  • Design, execute, and interpret A/B tests and quasi-experiments to evaluate key initiatives.
  • Apply advanced causal inference methods when experimentation is not feasible.
  • Partner with product, engineering, and marketing teams to embed experimentation into development and iteration cycles.
  • Communicate experimental results and recommendations to senior leadership and other stakeholders.
  • Mentor and guide other data scientists through technical direction and thought leadership.
  • Define best practices for hypothesis development, metric selection, test structure, and results communication.
  • Help build centralized experimentation frameworks, tools, and documentation to scale best practices.
  • Extract, transform, and analyze complex data using SQL, Python, and other analytics tools.
  • Translate findings into clear, actionable insights that inform business decisions.
  • Stay current on new experimentation and causal analysis methodologies and bring them into the team’s work.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
  • 6+ years of experience in a data science role focused on experimentation and causal inference, or 4+ years with a PhD.
  • Deep expertise in A/B testing and causal inference, including quasi-experimental methods.
  • Proficiency in SQL and Python for data extraction, transformation, and analysis.
  • Broad applied knowledge of statistical techniques.
  • Experience with machine learning modeling is a plus.
  • Proven ability to influence product and business decisions through clear, actionable insights.
  • Experience contributing to or developing experimentation frameworks, best practices, or internal tooling.
  • Master’s or PhD in Statistics, Economics, or Econometrics preferred; other quantitative degrees may be considered.
  • Interest in or knowledge of video games, gaming platforms, or player behavior is a bonus.
