Description

  • Build reusable data models, transformation layers, and pipelines that serve as the source of truth for the Video product team.
  • Establish the data and analysis infrastructure needed to design, run, measure, and iterate on A/B tests.
  • Deliver APIs, dashboards, and other data products that power customer-facing experiences and decision making.
  • Ensure event tracking, data contracts, testing, and monitoring are in place so product data remains accurate and trustworthy.
  • Develop predictive and causal models to improve forecasting, retention, pricing, and product strategy.
  • Partner closely with product managers, designers, engineers, and the central Data Platform team on data foundations and instrumentation.
  • Clean up, improve, and expand existing models and pipelines while applying software discipline such as version control, review, and testing.
  • Build and own live data endpoints and production-facing data surfaces from specification through launch.
  • Translate business questions into metrics, insights, and recommendations that stakeholders can trust and act on.
  • Bring in new product, customer, and third-party signals to strengthen the organization’s data foundation.

Requirements

  • Strong SQL skills, including complex joins, window functions, and performance tuning on a cloud data warehouse such as Snowflake.
  • Strong data modeling experience and a track record of creating clean, documented, reusable transformation layers using SQLMesh, dbt, or similar tools.
  • Production-grade Python for modeling, orchestration, and analyses beyond SQL, including statistics for LTV or propensity modeling and causal reasoning.
  • Experience building data products people depend on, such as APIs, pipelines, and dashboards.
  • Ability to translate business questions into agreed-upon metrics and influence decisions with data.
  • Familiarity with experimentation and A/B testing, including the measurement and analysis required to support tests.
  • Comfort using AI-augmented development tools such as Claude and Codex as part of a modern workflow.
  • Bonus: Background in data modeling for analytical or operational use cases.
  • Bonus: Experience with real-time or streaming data systems.
  • Bonus: ML engineering basics such as feature pipelines.
  • Bonus: Experience in sports, streaming, or B2C subscription businesses.
