Description

  • Perform monthly variance analysis and explain results for finance leadership and board reporting.
  • Support budgeting and forecasting processes in collaboration with the Financial Analyst.
  • Prepare recurring departmental and operational financial reports.
  • Organize, maintain, and analyze financial datasets to support reporting and analysis needs.
  • Assist with ad hoc reporting and analysis requests.
  • Use advanced Excel functions to manage large data sets and build reports.
  • Maintain reporting tools, templates, and analytical workbooks used by the finance team.
  • Support dashboard and reporting tool maintenance, including Power BI or similar systems.
  • Prepare and post journal entries, including accruals, reclasses, and adjustments.
  • Reconcile assigned balance sheet accounts and support monthly and annual close processes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance from an accredited college or university, plus 2–4 years of accounting and/or financial reporting experience, or 4 years of related experience in lieu of a degree.
  • Experience preparing journal entries, reconciling balance sheet accounts, supporting close processes, and performing variance analysis.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including pivot tables, lookups, nested formulas, IF statements, SUMIF logic, and macros.
  • Experience working with large data sets and data management.
  • Proven ability to manage deadlines and produce accurate, well-supported work with minimal oversight.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • CPA or CPA candidate preferred.
  • Nonprofit accounting and/or healthcare nonprofit experience preferred.
  • Experience in multi-entity environments preferred.
  • Experience with MIP Fund Accounting preferred.
