Description

  • Install displays, mounting hardware, A/V equipment, and interconnectivity equipment at customer locations, independently or with a team.
  • Maintain and service installed products at customer sites.
  • Provide installation, setup, and teardown support for demos and trade shows.
  • Troubleshoot, repair, and escalate product issues to the appropriate personnel.
  • Work with Technical Support and Engineering teams to resolve issues that cannot be fixed through standard troubleshooting or hardware replacement.
  • Provide training and certification to integrators on site when appropriate.
  • Document completed projects accurately with notes and installation records.
  • Provide backup support to the Tech Support/Helpdesk by answering customer technical requests via phone and email.
  • Communicate end-user feedback and issues to the appropriate teams and propose corrective actions.
  • Collaborate with engineers and other internal teams to resolve field product issues and improve future outcomes.

Requirements

  • Associate’s degree or equivalent in a technical field.
  • 2 to 4+ years of professional work experience in a technical role, preferably in an A/V company.
  • Excellent interpersonal, telephone, customer service, time management, and decision-making skills.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, including the ability to document completed installations clearly.
  • Ability to work unsupervised while remaining efficient, productive, and professional.
  • Comfortable using standard hand tools and working with basic electronics and connectivity concepts.
  • Knowledge of A/V cables, including HDMI and CAT 6, as well as wiring schematics, measurements, and system drawings.
  • Ability to read Visio and/or CAD drawings; ability to create Visio or CAD line drawings is desired.
  • 3rd-party control system knowledge such as Crestron or AMX is desired.
  • System integration experience is desired.
  • Government clearance is desired.
  • Ability to work on a ladder for extended periods of time.
  • Ability to use Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Valid driver’s license and use of a personal vehicle with proper insurance.
  • Must be able to pass a 5-panel drug screen at any time based on client onsite requirements.
