Description

  • Install displays, mounting hardware, A/V equipment, and interconnectivity equipment at customer locations, independently or as part of a team.
  • Maintain and service installed products at customer sites.
  • Perform installation, setup, and teardown of products for demos and trade shows.
  • Troubleshoot, repair, and escalate product issues to the appropriate personnel.
  • Work with Technical Support and Engineering teams to resolve issues when standard troubleshooting and hardware replacement do not solve the problem.
  • Provide onsite training and certification to integrators when appropriate.
  • Document completed work accurately, including project notes and installation details.
  • Provide backup support to the Tech Support/Helpdesk via phone and email.
  • Communicate end-user feedback and propose solutions or corrective actions to internal teams.

Requirements

  • Associate’s degree or equivalent in a technical field.
  • 2 to 4+ years of professional work experience in a technical role, preferably with an A/V company.
  • Excellent interpersonal, telephone, customer service, time management, and decision-making skills.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, including the ability to document completed installations clearly.
  • Ability to work unsupervised while remaining efficient, productive, and professional in varied work environments.
  • Comfort using standard hand tools and understanding basic electronics and connectivity concepts.
  • General knowledge of HVAC and power requirements.
  • Knowledge of A/V cables including HDMI and CAT 6.
  • Ability to read wiring schematics, measurements, system drawings, and Visio and/or CAD drawings.
  • Ability to create Visio or CAD line drawings is desired.
  • Third-party control knowledge such as Crestron or AMX is desired.
  • System integration experience is desired.
  • Government clearance is desired.
  • Ability to work on a ladder for extended periods of time and perform heavy lifting.
  • Ability to travel extensively, work substantial overtime, and maintain scheduling flexibility.
  • Valid driver’s license and access to a personal vehicle with proper insurance.
  • Must be able to pass a 5-panel drug screen when required by client onsite requirements.
