Description

  • Perform deep strategic analysis to answer growth marketing questions about user acquisition, engagement, and lifetime value.
  • Improve geo-testing and incrementality testing frameworks used to measure marketing impact.
  • Build and deploy statistical and machine learning models for propensity, forecasting, and lifetime value optimization.
  • Develop new models and maintain existing models for user lifetime value, budgeting, and long-term retention.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional partners across Marketing, Product, Engineering, Analytics, Design, Research, and Data Engineering.
  • Advise teams on experimentation best practices and identify flaws in experiment design and results.
  • Define success metrics and own the full lifecycle of those metrics from logging requirements through prototype pipelines and improvements.
  • Translate complex analytical findings into clear insights and strategic recommendations for technical and non-technical stakeholders, including senior leadership.
  • Write actionable analyses that help teams identify opportunities and areas for improvement.
  • Design, maintain, and promote dashboards, automated reporting tools, and ETL data pipelines to support decision-making and model development.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of combined post-graduate academic and industry experience applying scientific methods to real-world problems.
  • Master’s degree in a quantitative field such as mathematics, statistics, computer science, or engineering.
  • Hands-on experience building marketing measurement solutions to quantify the business impact of marketing tactics and investments.
  • Strong background in statistics and quantitative analysis, including experience applying advanced statistical techniques to real-world problems.
  • Expertise in at least one scripting language, ideally Python or R.
  • Proficiency in SQL/Hive and the ability to write efficient SQL queries.
  • Strong business and product sense, with the ability to turn vague questions into well-defined analyses and success metrics.
  • Excellent communication skills with experience leading initiatives and presenting findings to leadership and cross-functional teams.
  • Experience leading key technical projects.
  • Strong experimentation background and experience with causal inference projects.
  • In-office collaboration required 1-2 times per quarter; role can be based anywhere in the U.S.
  • Not eligible for relocation assistance.

  • Base salary range of $139,764 to $287,749 USD for U.S.-based applicants.
