Description

  • Oversee engineering activities for information systems being developed, modified, or operated.
  • Plan, design, develop, evaluate, test, and integrate systems infrastructure, including hardware and software implementation.
  • Manage engineering activities and lead systems engineering staff and team operations.
  • Support, review, maintain, and optimize networked software and associated operating systems.
  • Execute risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies for technical and operational risks.
  • Plan project cost, schedule, and execution activities for assigned workstreams.
  • Develop and review technical performance metrics and system health indicators.
  • Coordinate multiple concurrent tasks and strict deadlines across a large-scale, highly available system environment.
  • Support acquisition documentation, milestone reviews, and key operational and test events.
  • Work with agile/scrum processes to assess how enhancements, defects, and requests affect application architecture.

Requirements

  • Required to have and maintain a Non-Sensitive / High Risk (Public Trust) security clearance (Tier 4/6c).
  • High school diploma or GED is required; a bachelor’s degree is desired.
  • 10+ years of experience supporting information technology.
  • 7+ years of experience supporting IBM products, Oracle products, and cloud-based products.
  • Training and certification in the target ICAM database product is required.
  • Oracle and DB2 training/certification is desired.
  • Demonstrated understanding of the software development, enhancement, and maintenance lifecycle.
  • Experience with data encryption, data storage, and data retention.
  • Strong technical understanding of IT systems and services, including Identity and Access Management and AWS GovCloud.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Expert knowledge of recent technological advances in computer science and engineering is preferred.
