Description

  • Identify, control, record, audit, and report configuration item status.
  • Maintain records for hardware, software, system configurations, documentation, and deliverables.
  • Develop and update technical processes, configuration standards, baselines, and procedures.
  • Support change-control processes and maintain documentation and traceability.
  • Maintain centralized CMDB information in accordance with ITSM practices.
  • Coordinate configuration management activities across technical and project teams.
  • Review technical documentation and perform quality-control activities to ensure artifact accuracy.
  • Travel as needed for stakeholder meetings, training, presentations, or briefings.

Requirements

  • At least 5 years of IT experience, including 3 years of configuration management or technical editing experience in a large corporation or government agency.
  • Bachelor’s or associate degree in an IT-related field; a relevant master’s degree may substitute for up to 2 years of required experience.
  • IAT III, IAM III, or IASAE III certification; certification may substitute for a relevant bachelor’s degree or 4 years of relevant experience.
  • Experience with configuration and change management and technical documentation in IT or software development environments.
  • Experience with ITSM practices and centralized CMDBs.
  • Experience with project management or project-oriented environments and understanding of configuration management across the project lifecycle.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain the required VA background investigation, suitability determination, and system access.
  • VA or federal technical documentation experience preferred.
  • ITIL certification and experience with automated configuration or compliance tracking tools preferred.

  • Salary range of $77,000–$107,000.
