Description

  • Drive sales across APAC and help expand TiDB’s market presence in the region.
  • Build the sales operations and playbook from scratch.
  • Close large enterprise deals, including lighthouse accounts, with support from the solutions architect team.
  • Establish distribution partnerships to accelerate product adoption in APAC.
  • Collaborate with customer-facing teams to meet customer needs and manage escalations proactively.
  • Develop a strong, customer-empathy-focused culture within the sales team.
  • Build the foundation of the sales team to support product commercialization at scale.
  • Work directly with customers to solve scaling challenges and support business growth.
  • Streamline and simplify sales processes and ways of working.
  • Foster inclusive teamwork and contribute to a collaborative startup environment.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of enterprise sales experience at an established open source technology company or a company with mature cloud offerings such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
  • Experience scaling a business or team from one to many, ideally as a regional pioneer.
  • Track record of winning and closing large enterprise deals.
  • Experience thriving in a startup environment.
  • Preferably an engineering background through academic training or work experience.
  • Experience working as part of an overlay team within a go-to-market organization or a similar structure.
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science strongly preferred.
  • Willingness to travel to customer sites.

  • Ability to take a hands-on, player-coach approach to strategy, process, and customer problem-solving.
