Description

  • Own delivery and operational excellence for modern data platforms across multiple customer accounts.
  • Translate business and technical requirements into Epics, Stories, and Tasks that improve customer data platforms.
  • Ensure engagements are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget with clear success measures.
  • Lead technical teams through design, implementation, and ongoing operational support of cloud data platforms.
  • Provide leadership during major incidents, including coordination, communication, escalation, root cause analysis, and remediation.
  • Collaborate with architects, engineers, and operations teams across the US and India to deliver successful engagements and handoffs.
  • Build relationships with sponsors and stakeholders, provide progress updates, host leadership discussions, and identify expansion opportunities.
  • Maintain staffing across accounts and balance work between US and India team members.
  • Improve managed services offerings through process optimization, knowledge sharing, and reusable assets.
  • Mentor and coach architects, engineers, and operations team members while helping define managed services standards and playbooks.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in technical management, IT architecture, customer relationship management, project management, and/or delivery management, ideally in data, analytics, or infrastructure operations.
  • Hands-on experience with at least one major cloud platform, specifically AWS or Microsoft Azure.
  • Technical knowledge of modern cloud data technologies such as Snowflake, dbt, Fivetran, Airflow, Redshift, Matillion, Databricks, Azure Synapse, Qlik, StreamSets, NiFi, Cloudera, Coalesce, and EMR.
  • Background in IT operations, infrastructure, or production support for modern data platforms or data warehouses supporting multiple customers.
  • Experience leading technical operations teams through large or complex projects, including backlog creation, prioritization, and delegation.
  • Experience scoping and planning large-scale technology infrastructure or modern data platform initiatives.
  • Demonstrated ownership of incident and escalation processes through resolution, root cause analysis, and remediation.
  • Active daily use of AI coding tools such as Cursor, GitHub Copilot, Claude, ChatGPT, or equivalent, with sound judgment on when to trust and verify outputs.
  • Ability to describe specific engineering tasks completed with AI assistance.
  • Experience delivering services in a professional services, managed services, or other client-facing environment with global customers and business partners.
  • Ability to interact confidently with Director and VP-level stakeholders and communicate complex technical information clearly.
  • Proven experience coordinating across technical teams managing IT infrastructure services or modern data platforms for multiple customers concurrently.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Ability to lead and collaborate with distributed, cross-functional teams across regions and time zones.
  • Strong leadership skills with a track record of improving processes and procedures.
  • Highly organized, strategic, and able to manage multiple priorities with minimal supervision.
  • Flexibility to work across time zones as needed to support global teams and customers.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent practical experience (preferred but not required).
  • Preferred: experience managing IT or data operations/production support environments, including leading data warehouse, ML, or data engineering teams.
  • Preferred: experience with Snowflake, Databricks, and Azure Synapse in a multi-customer or managed services context.
  • Preferred: additional experience with Qlik, StreamSets, NiFi, Cloudera, or Coalesce.
  • Preferred: prior consulting, managed services, or MSP-style experience supporting multiple enterprise customers.
  • Preferred: prior experience working in global or remote teams across the US, LATAM, and/or India.
  • Preferred: passion for learning new technologies and staying current with technology trends.
  • Preferred: contributions to internal accelerators, process improvements, or knowledge-sharing initiatives.
