Description

  • Design and implement end-to-end data solutions for enterprise clients.
  • Lead technical delivery from design through production deployment.
  • Ensure solutions meet performance, security, scalability, and data integration requirements.
  • Provide team leadership and mentorship to other engineers.
  • Communicate with clients through written materials, verbal discussions, and presentations.
  • Create detailed solution documentation, including POCs, roadmaps, sequence diagrams, class hierarchies, and logical system views.
  • Work across cloud data platforms and modern data stack technologies in delivery engagements.
  • Collaborate on complete software development lifecycle activities, including design, testing, and deployment.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of hands-on experience as a Solutions Architect and/or Data Engineer designing and implementing data solutions.
  • Experience leading teams and/or mentoring other engineers.
  • Ability to develop technical solutions end to end and bring them into production.
  • Programming expertise in Java, Python, and/or Scala.
  • Experience with core cloud data platforms such as Snowflake, Spark, AWS, Azure, Databricks, and GCP.
  • Strong SQL skills, including writing, debugging, and optimizing queries.
  • Client-facing written and verbal communication experience.
  • Experience creating and delivering detailed technical presentations.
  • Ability to produce detailed solution documentation such as POCs, roadmaps, sequence diagrams, and system views.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
  • Preferred: Production experience with Snowflake, AWS, Azure, GCP, Hadoop, or Databricks.
  • Preferred: Experience with cloud and distributed storage systems such as S3, ADLS, HDFS, GCS, Kudu, Elasticsearch/Solr, Cassandra, or other NoSQL systems.
  • Preferred: Experience with data integration tools and platforms such as Spark, Kafka, StreamSets, Matillion, Fivetran, NiFi, AWS DMS, Azure Data Factory, IICS, or Google DataProc.
  • Preferred: Experience working with multiple data sources such as queues, relational databases, files, search, and APIs.
  • Preferred: Complete software development lifecycle experience, including design, documentation, implementation, testing, and deployment.
  • Preferred: Experience with automated data transformation and curation using dbt, Spark, Spark streaming, or automated pipelines.
  • Preferred: Experience with workflow management and orchestration tools such as Airflow, AWS Managed Airflow, Luigi, or NiFi.
