Description

  • Plan and develop support program activities, integrating People Powered’s resources, tools, and materials into capacity-building programs.
  • Create multimedia course and learning content, including videos, graphics, presentations, activities, questions, and documents.
  • Adapt and compile participatory democracy content for the online resource center, Participation Playbook, and related resources.
  • Develop, configure, and deliver webinars and asynchronous courses with guidance from staff and partners.
  • Recruit participants for online learning opportunities and support them through regular communication, problem-solving, and reminders.
  • Manage content updates and community interactions through the learning management system.
  • Track program progress using project and data management tools.
  • Support planning and coordination of technical improvements to People Powered resources, including work with partners and developers.
  • Create promotional multimedia content such as blog posts, graphics, and videos for capacity-building activities and resources.
  • Support member engagement and help deliver member workshops and activities by participating in external discussions and activities.

Requirements

  • 3 years of relevant work experience in program support or delivery, training, community engagement, or communications for nonprofit or nongovernmental organizations.
  • Alignment with People Powered’s mission and values.
  • Experience and/or interest in participatory democracy, civic engagement, community empowerment, equity, and/or policymaking.
  • Experience with instructional design, online facilitation, and/or training platforms.
  • Experience supporting people to learn and/or use tools and knowledge content.
  • Working proficiency in English.
  • Excellent writing and communication skills, including the ability to communicate complex information clearly and accessibly across languages and contexts.
  • Excellent teamwork skills and the ability to collaborate with people from diverse cultures with sensitivity to cultural differences and power dynamics.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong computer skills, especially with Google Workspace products.
  • Flexible and growth-oriented mindset.
  • Proficiency in another language such as French, Spanish, or Portuguese (preferred).
  • Experience living and working in more than one country, including in the Global South (preferred).
  • Experience with Asana, Zoom, and project management tools (preferred).
  • Experience with coding, technology strategy, and/or technology implementation (preferred).
  • Experience with AI tools (preferred).
  • No formal educational requirements, provided the applicant can demonstrate proficiency with the desired skills.

  • Competitive annual salary of $60,000 to $74,000 USD, adjusted for local cost of living.
