Description

  • Develop and maintain relationships with existing hospitals, labs, customers, physicians, lab staff, lab supervisors, and purchasing personnel.
  • Prospect and convert new customers and users of Penumbra products.
  • Secure and renew orders by coordinating product availability, delivery dates, and inventory levels.
  • Maintain ongoing communication with customers regarding programs, promotions, and pricing trends.
  • Increase account penetration by selling new and existing products and services.
  • Stay current on new products, competitive offerings, sales promotions, catalogs, and advertising, and provide market feedback to corporate office.
  • Attend industry trade shows, follow up on leads, and prepare summaries and internal follow-up communications.
  • Maintain accurate sales expense records, customer files, and field sales reports.
  • Adhere to quality, security, privacy, and compliance requirements, and help ensure others in the department do the same.
  • Travel as needed and complete other assigned projects and duties.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 5+ years of medical sales experience.
  • 3+ years of medical device sales experience.
  • Sales or marketing background preferred.
  • Strong clinical, technical, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work in a busy, demanding, and competitive environment.
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills.
  • Must reside within the region while in the role; candidates outside the Indianapolis, IN area may be considered.
  • Ability to travel up to 50%.
  • Occasional on-call availability required 24 hours per day, 7 days per week.

  • Annual base salary range of $150,000 to $215,000.
