Description

  • Collaborate with clinical project teams to clarify and finalize user requirement specifications for analysis tools and reports.
  • Work with vendors or independently build reports and tools to meet clinical user requirements.
  • Lead technical projects involving specification, programming, and testing of risk-based monitoring reports, data cleaning reports, and system integrations.
  • Contribute to the development and maintenance of the clinical study data warehouse.
  • Develop dashboards and reports to support clinical study teams.
  • Program trial-specific reports for data review and cleaning plans.
  • Design, write, and maintain code for complex data transformations, import/export, transposition, and ETL processes.
  • Integrate data from multiple systems to create reports and dashboards.
  • Automate routine data processing and reporting tasks to improve efficiency.
  • Write, validate, and optimize analytical programming scripts and report specifications.
  • Support programming timelines and project deliverables.
  • Assist with vendor issues, integrations, implementations, upgrades, and new modules.
  • Participate in audits and support clinical data analysts and other department staff as needed.
  • Mentor less experienced staff and provide process improvement feedback, training materials, and documentation to support reproducibility.
  • Adhere to quality management, security, privacy, compliance, and data standards requirements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in mathematics, computer science, economics, life science, or a related field with 2+ years of experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Solid hands-on knowledge of at least one programming language, such as Python, SAS, R, MATLAB, C Sharp, Visual Basic, or SQL.
  • Master’s degree preferred.
  • Experience in the analysis of medical or scientific data is strongly preferred.
  • Relational database experience preferred.
  • Understanding of the software development lifecycle process is preferred.
  • Experience with clinical databases such as Medrio, InForm, RedCap, OpenClinica, or Medidata RAVE is a plus.
  • Knowledge of clinical data management applications, electronic data capture, query tools, web browsers, and the MS Office suite is a plus.
  • Ability to take initiative on own project responsibilities.
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to multitask while meeting established project priorities.
  • Demonstrated expertise in the use of required technology.
  • Experience in a medical device, pharmaceutical, biotech, or other regulated industry is desired.
  • Strong oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Proficiency with MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize assignments while handling multiple projects simultaneously.
