Description

  • Partner with Account Directors and Customer Engineers to qualify Professional Services opportunities and scope engagements.
  • Lead customer scoping conversations, define problems, validate need, and author commercially sound Statements of Work.
  • Design and build custom integrations, APIs, data pipelines, and ETL processes that extend Pendo’s capabilities.
  • Own end-to-end delivery of multiple complex technical projects, including data engineering and system integration work.
  • Troubleshoot technical issues and provide leadership on escalated engagements to keep delivery aligned to outcomes, scope, and timeline.
  • Advise customers on data architecture, integration patterns, and long-term technical strategy.
  • Support instrumentation design for advanced analytics and AI/ML use cases.
  • Build reusable code libraries, frameworks, and integration patterns for the Professional Services team.
  • Mentor consultants on data flows, API usage, debugging, and technical problem-solving.
  • Share patterns and field intelligence with Product and cross-functional teams to inform product direction and customer transformation efforts.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of experience in a customer-facing technical role within B2B SaaS, with hands-on experience writing custom code and building integrations.
  • Strong proficiency in JavaScript, Python, or Node.js, with the ability to write production-quality backend code.
  • Deep experience with APIs, data pipelines, integration patterns, ETL processes, and data modeling.
  • SQL proficiency and strong data modeling expertise.
  • Experience working with REST APIs, webhooks, and event-driven architectures.
  • Demonstrated ability to translate complex data concepts into business value for both technical and business stakeholders.
  • Experience leading technical transformation initiatives and data infrastructure projects.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, or a related field (nice to have).
  • Application development experience with Node.js, Python, or a related language or framework (nice to have).
  • Experience with the modern data stack, such as Segment, Snowflake, BigQuery, dbt, or Fivetran (nice to have).
  • AI/ML integration experience, including feature engineering and MCP implementations (nice to have).
  • Background in data engineering, integration consulting, or technical services focused on custom development (nice to have).

Benefits

  • Expected salary range of $145,400 - $175,000 in San Francisco and $132,200 - $159,000 for Raleigh or remote.
