Description

  • Lead the migration of analytics and existing data workflows into BigQuery as the unified warehouse and reporting layer.
  • Read, extend, and maintain Go services that ingest additional data into the warehouse.
  • Design, build, and operate repeatable ETL/ELT pipelines for the Data Science team.
  • Consolidate data from internal databases, on-chain sources, market-data vendors, and product analytics into consistent modeled datasets.
  • Establish standards for ingestion, transformation, orchestration, testing, lineage, and documentation.
  • Build foundational metrics and dashboards in partnership with Data Science.
  • Own data quality, observability, monitoring, access controls, and cost management across pipelines and the warehouse.
  • Partner with Data Science, Backend Engineering, Risk, and Product to turn reporting needs into durable infrastructure.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of data engineering experience building and operating production data pipelines and warehouses.
  • Deep hands-on experience with a cloud data warehouse, with BigQuery strongly preferred.
  • Strong SQL and data modeling skills.
  • Experience with modern transformation and orchestration tools such as dbt, Airflow, or similar schedulers.
  • Experience designing batch and streaming ingestion, including CDC and changefeeds, into a warehouse.
  • Experience building data infrastructure for fintech, trading, or other high-integrity financial systems.
  • High standards for data quality, reliability, testing, observability, and documentation.
  • Clear communication, high ownership, and experience working effectively with technical and non-technical partners.
  • Ability to read and write Go, or strong software engineering ability with fast ramp-up on unfamiliar codebases (nice to have).
  • Experience with crypto-native or on-chain data and vendors such as Allium, Dune, or Databento (nice to have).
