Description

  • Design, implement, and maintain scalable, maintainable, and performant backend services primarily in Clojure.
  • Support and gradually modernize legacy Node.js services.
  • Collaborate on cloud deployments using modern tooling and infrastructure-as-code practices.
  • Write clean, well-documented code and participate in code reviews.
  • Work closely with senior engineers, DevOps, product management, and other cross-functional stakeholders to integrate services and resolve operational issues.
  • Help ensure the platform’s service-oriented architecture remains robust, reliable, and aligned with modern development practices.
  • Engage in continuous learning, adopt best practices, and stay current with backend and cloud trends.

Requirements

  • 5-8 years of software development experience, with hands-on backend engineering experience.
  • Proficiency in Clojure for developing and maintaining backend services.
  • Familiarity with Node.js, especially for supporting legacy services.
  • Understanding of service-oriented architectures and RESTful API design.
  • Experience working in cloud environments and using modern development tooling.
  • Exposure to infrastructure-as-code tools and practices.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to debug and optimize backend systems.
  • Ability to work effectively with senior engineers and cross-functional teams.
  • Enthusiasm for learning new tools and techniques in cloud deployment, automation, and backend development.
