Description

  • Perform detailed site surveys, installation, integration, and testing of customer premise fiber systems and routers with minimal supervision.
  • Install, modify, and remove telecommunications equipment, cable trays, racking, cabinets, and frames from drawings and engineering documents.
  • Identify, label, measure, terminate, and route AC/DC power and data cables in technical spaces.
  • Conduct system testing, turn-up, integration activities, and quality validation on in-process and completed work.
  • Read and apply method of procedures, order specifications, floor plans, schematics, test records, and installation documentation.
  • Generate MOPs, high-risk activity reports, work schedules, test records, and project completion reports.
  • Ensure all documentation is accurate and comply with company/customer update requirements.
  • Interface with customers, vendors, and internal teams including Installation, Engineering, and Project Management.
  • Resolve project-related, equipment, and technical issues using defined processes.
  • Perform emergency break/fix callouts and outage response work as needed.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5+ years of installation experience, or a combination of experience and training acceptable to management.
  • Prior leadership experience is required.
  • Verizon Network equipment installation and maintenance experience is a plus.
  • Verizon Commercial Premise installation experience is a plus.
  • High school diploma plus two years of technical school, or equivalent telecommunications field training and experience.
  • Proficiency with laptop computers and applications.
  • Strong understanding of company/customer policies, procedures, and safety requirements.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • MS Office skills, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and Teams.
  • Valid driver’s license, ability to pass pre-employment background checks, and insurable status.
  • Ability to comply with OSHA standards and work safely in varied field conditions.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, climb ladders, crawl in tight spaces, and travel with overnight stays as needed.

  • Base pay range of $65,000 to $75,000 USD.
