Description

  • Manage LAN infrastructure, including wireless access points, wireless LAN controllers, and Software Defined Access integrations.
  • Oversee switch provisioning and deployment across multiple sites, including cutover logistics and change management.
  • Establish monitoring for newly installed and replaced network equipment.
  • Support and operate SD-WAN sites and maintain router and routing configurations.
  • Use network orchestration tools to automate configuration, testing, deployment, and operations of physical and virtual network devices.
  • Monitor routing interfaces, bandwidth utilization, and inbound/outbound traffic statistics across LAN/WAN circuits.
  • Provide technical consulting, direction, and guidance on network and systems issues.
  • Assist with vulnerability patching and IOS upgrades.
  • Analyze, diagnose, and recommend solutions for complex network problems, escalating issues to vendors or third parties when needed.
  • Generate and update network documentation, knowledge base articles, and SOPs.

Requirements

  • Public Trust clearance or the ability to obtain one.
  • ITILv4 Foundation Certification within 120 days of start date.
  • 7-12 years of experience and a bachelor's degree.
  • Previous experience with vulnerability patching and IOS upgrades.
  • Previous experience supporting and operating Software-Defined Wide Area Networks (SD-WAN) sites.
  • Experience designing and developing solutions for complex application, system administration, or network issues.
  • Experience performing systems management and integration functions.
  • Ability to work independently in a full or partial remote environment with limited supervision.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills with the ability to work effectively with staff and clients at all levels.
  • Ability to maintain standard working hours for the DIGIT contract and participate in meetings and collaborative efforts during working hours.
  • Cisco Certified Networking Professional (CCNP) or Cisco Certified Networking Associate (CCNA) preferred.
  • Proficiency with wireless survey tools such as Ekahau for survey work and design/architecture analysis.
  • Proficiency configuring BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, and static routes.
  • Familiarity with SD-WAN architectures such as VMware VeloCloud.
  • Experience designing network architecture for Software Defined Access or Software Defined Networks using Cisco Catalyst Center.
  • Willingness to work a variety of shifts, including holidays as scheduled.
  • Familiarity with Active Directory, Windows, ServiceNow, SolarWinds, Cisco Prime, LAN/WAN control protocols, and Cisco SDA.
  • Proficiency with Google Suite, Slack, and ServiceNow.
  • Experience as a remote worker with strong time management, self-discipline, cultural change management, and an Agile mindset.
