Description

  • Design, develop, test, and document software solutions.
  • Develop flexible and maintainable applications using established requirements, standards, and practices.
  • Troubleshoot development issues through sound design and practical implementation.
  • Maintain and enhance existing systems by resolving defects, remediating security vulnerabilities, and improving performance.
  • Participate in planning and user story analysis by providing feedback on user requirements.
  • Implement technical solutions to address business problems using sound design principles and best practices.
  • Follow software development processes and procedures.
  • Document software changes, standards, and best practices.
  • Stay current with programming practices, technologies, tools, and industry standards.
  • Teach and mentor other software engineers.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical field or equivalent education and work experience.
  • Typically 5+ years of experience in a professional technical environment.
  • At least 4 years of professional software design and development experience.
  • General knowledge of the software development lifecycle; Agile, Lean, or Kanban experience preferred.
  • Experience with technologies such as .NET, C#, ASP.NET, MVC, Classic ASP, VBScript, Entity Framework, WPF, JavaScript, IIS, HTML, CSS, XML/XSLT, MSMQ, NServiceBus, Visual Studio, Team Foundation Server, Git, or other source control tools.
  • Experience with Visual Studio, Azure DevOps, Git, or comparable source control tools preferred.
  • Cloud development experience with Azure or AWS preferred.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to teach and mentor software engineers.
