Description

  • Conduct daily site observations to ensure work activities comply with company, customer, and regulatory safety standards.
  • Identify job hazards and unsafe behaviors and implement measures to reduce risk.
  • Perform and document atmospheric testing using calibrated meters and manage testing records.
  • Monitor the proper handling, use, and storage of safety equipment.
  • Investigate incidents and accidents, documenting root causes and corrective actions.
  • Provide real-time recommendations to address unexpected on-site safety concerns.
  • Manage safety permits and documentation, including hot work, confined space, and scaffolding permits.
  • Support the execution of the project safety plan and ensure safety protocols are in place from day one.
  • Collaborate with project teams, subcontractors, and site personnel to maintain consistent safety compliance.
  • Lead by example on site and proactively address safety issues while working independently.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in construction site safety management or a related field.
  • OSHA 30-hour Construction Safety Certification.
  • First Aid/CPR certification.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • NCCCO Rigger Level I certification preferred; candidates may be considered without it if willing to obtain it within 90 days of hire.
  • Experience implementing and managing safety programs in construction projects preferred.
  • Knowledge of local, state, and federal safety regulations and standards preferred.
  • HAZWOPER certification preferred.
