Description

  • Design, develop, and maintain internal applications and automations that reduce manual IT and security work.
  • Build integrations across the security and IT stack, including Okta, Zscaler, Splunk/Wazuh, Lacework, Drata, Datadog, AWS, GCP, GitHub, and n8n.
  • Package, deploy, and operate IT and security tooling using standard deployment and observability practices.
  • Architect agentic AI workflows for alert triage, log correlation, root-cause analysis, guided remediation, access reviews, and audit evidence collection.
  • Build the context layer for AI agents using MCP servers, retrieval pipelines, and embeddings tied to company systems, policies, and runbooks.
  • Drive AI adoption within the IT/Security team through pairing, architecture reviews, and reusable workflows or plugins.
  • Develop and maintain SOAR/SIEM detections, dashboards, and correlation rules in Splunk/Wazuh.
  • Support threat hunting, incident investigation, pen testing or red teaming, and forensic analysis using custom tooling and queries.
  • Automate compliance evidence collection and control validation across SOC 2, HITRUST CSF, HITRUST AI, and HIPAA.
  • Participate in on-call response, post-incident reviews, and continuous improvement efforts while maintaining stable internal systems.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of production coding experience in a web-based environment.
  • Professional experience with Ruby on Rails, Python, or JavaScript/TypeScript (React, Node.js).
  • Hands-on experience with AWS services such as IAM, EC2, ECS/EKS, S3, RDS, and Lambda, plus infrastructure-as-code.
  • Experience integrating REST and GraphQL APIs and building automations across SaaS platforms.
  • Working knowledge of at least one compliance framework such as SOC 2, HITRUST, HIPAA, ISO 27001, or NIST.
  • A security-first mindset with attention to least privilege, secrets handling, PHI exposure, and audit trails.
  • Strong fundamentals in data structures, design patterns, and test-driven development.
  • Must reside in the United States.
  • Experience building production agentic AI systems, including MCP-based tool integration, retrieval-augmented generation, and evaluation frameworks (preferred).
  • Familiarity with Okta, Zscaler, Splunk/Wazuh, Lacework, Drata, Datadog, n8n, or Argo workflows (preferred).
  • Experience with SIEM detection engineering or SOC tooling such as Splunk SPL, Wazuh rules, or Sigma (preferred).
  • Healthcare technology experience, including HIPAA, PHI handling, or DME workflows (preferred).
  • Security or cloud certifications such as CCA-F, CISSP, CCSP, AWS Security Specialty, or OSCP (preferred).
  • Experience as a technical lead bridging IT, Security, Engineering, and Compliance stakeholders (preferred).
  • Proficiency in SQL, especially with Redshift or BigQuery, for forensic and operational analytics (preferred).
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States; no employer visa sponsorship is available for this role.
