Description

  • Perform deep architecture and security reviews of highly complex platform systems to identify vulnerabilities.
  • Lead engineering teams through feature design, threat modeling, and implementation of security-critical controls.
  • Develop and implement automation to enforce security baselines and reduce infrastructure weaknesses.
  • Drive security-versus-product tradeoff decisions during design and implementation.
  • Own and lead strategic security initiatives with broad impact across Palantir's platforms.
  • Work with offensive security, engineering, and InfoSec teams to harden products against advanced threats.
  • Identify, analyze, and resolve product infrastructure vulnerabilities through scanning, posture analysis, and report investigation.
  • Partner with incident response on product security issues and incidents.
  • Serve as the security subject matter expert for product architects and engineers.
  • Help steer product designs toward secure-by-default outcomes.

Requirements

  • Platform engineering experience operating Kubernetes and/or building controllers.
  • Deep passion for information security.
  • Experience with a modern high-level programming language such as Java, Golang, Javascript, or Python.
  • Experience with complex or distributed platform architectures.
  • Experience security testing or hardening Kubernetes-based platforms.
  • Experience evaluating Cloud, Linux, and Kubernetes configurations for vulnerabilities and weaknesses.
  • Self-motivated with experience solving complex problems.
  • Experience designing and operating production-grade infrastructure and platform services.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills across engineering teams.
  • Ability to learn and apply new technologies quickly in complex deployments.

  • Estimated salary range of $135,000 to $200,000 per year.
