Description

  • Evaluate proposals and outlines for audience fit, jobs-to-be-done, and competitive differentiation.
  • Perform substantive edits to improve structure, clarity, flow, and learning outcomes.
  • Own quality sign-off for products while balancing editorial depth and speed to market.
  • Maintain standards for plagiarism, responsible AI use, consistency, and readability.
  • Identify opportunities to repurpose content into derived products, newsletters, short-form assets, and other reusable formats.
  • Own product information, metadata, and Amazon A+ pages to improve discoverability and title performance.
  • Work with Growth Leads, Relationship Leads, Program Managers, and Portfolio Directors on positioning, audience alignment, and product performance.
  • Manage relationships with authors, experts, and technical reviewers to ensure strong outcomes and timely resolution of feedback.
  • Research emerging technologies, version updates, and industry trends to keep products relevant and competitive.
  • Monitor post-publication content health and recommend updates, new editions, derived assets, or positioning changes based on evidence.
  • Use AI and workflow tools responsibly and share practices, templates, and process improvements with the broader Content Engineering team.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in editorial or content development for technical or instructional products.
  • Ability to translate complex technical concepts into structured, reader-friendly content.
  • Strong author or subject-matter expert management and feedback skills.
  • Excellent English-language proficiency and editorial judgment.
  • Quality assurance mindset with confidence in deciding on readiness, rework, or cancellation.
  • Willingness to own content success beyond editing, including multi-format enhancements and derived formats.
  • Familiarity with programming languages or a demonstrated interest in technology (preferred).
  • Experience with multi-format content such as events, newsletters, labs, or research (preferred).
  • Awareness of AI tools in editorial workflows or software development contexts (preferred).
  • Project management experience balancing multiple priorities (preferred).
