Description

  • Support production Power BI reports, dashboards, datasets, semantic models, and workspaces.
  • Troubleshoot report performance, refresh failures, data quality issues, access problems, and user-reported defects.
  • Enhance and refactor existing Power BI models and reports to improve usability, maintainability, performance, and business alignment.
  • Apply Power BI best practices for data modeling, DAX, Power Query, visualization design, deployment, security, and workspace management.
  • Support data integration, transformation, cleansing, validation, and pipeline maintenance for analytics and reporting.
  • Work with SQL-based sources, APIs, files, cloud platforms, and other enterprise data sources.
  • Create and maintain Microsoft Fabric workloads such as lakehouses, warehouses, data pipelines, dataflows, notebooks, and semantic models.
  • Contribute to migration, modernization, and rework of reporting assets into Fabric-aligned patterns.
  • Design clear, intuitive reports that help business users understand performance, trends, risks, and opportunities.
  • Partner with data engineers, analysts, and client stakeholders to ensure reporting outputs are accurate, reliable, and trusted.

Requirements

  • Hands-on experience supporting, enhancing, and troubleshooting Power BI reports, dashboards, datasets, semantic models, and workspaces.
  • Advanced working knowledge of DAX, Power Query, data modeling, report optimization, visualization best practices, and Power BI performance tuning.
  • Solid SQL skills, including querying, joins, stored procedures, views, data validation, and troubleshooting source-to-report data issues.
  • Experience reworking or refactoring Power BI solutions to improve usability, maintainability, scalability, security, and business alignment.
  • Practical experience with data integration, transformation, cleansing, and validation across relational databases, APIs, flat files, cloud platforms, and enterprise data sources.
  • Understanding of ETL/ELT patterns, curated datasets, pipeline monitoring, data quality checks, and dependency management.
  • Experience with Power BI security, workspace management, deployment processes, refresh schedules, access control, and governance best practices.
  • Ability to document data models, report logic, transformation rules, known issues, support procedures, and technical recommendations.
  • Microsoft Power BI Data Analyst Associate certification preferred.
  • Microsoft Fabric Data Analyst Associate or Microsoft Fabric Data Engineer Associate certification is a plus.
