Description

  • Lead the end-to-end product design process for the customer-facing product, including research, wireframes, prototypes, flows, design specs, and QA.
  • Translate engineering and business constraints into shippable solutions and validate those solutions with customers.
  • Develop a design vision by iterating quickly and balancing high-fidelity detail with low-fidelity sketches and prototypes.
  • Communicate and present design work clearly and regularly to teammates and company leaders.
  • Own your work through release communication and customer-facing coordination.
  • Balance near-term delivery with longer-term product vision and iteration.
  • Facilitate design sprints, workshops, planning sessions, and other alignment exercises.
  • Meet occasionally with customers in person for workshops, field visits, and product learning.
  • Attend industry events occasionally to learn about competition and emerging technology use cases.

Requirements

  • Strong portfolio with examples of interaction design work.
  • Experience working at an early-stage startup.
  • Demonstrated experience with end-to-end hybrid UX and UI product design for enterprise software.
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams, including product, engineering, and design.
  • Ability to turn complex problems into simple experiences for non-technical users.
  • Exceptional verbal, written, and visual communication skills in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience leading design sprints and building consensus around ideas.
  • Comfort with learning as you go, taking calculated risks, and making mistakes.
  • Genuine passion for solving the climate crisis.
  • 5+ years of product design experience (preferred).
  • Experience working on a B2B SaaS product (preferred).
  • Experience working closely with machine learning engineers and/or data scientists (preferred).
  • Experience designing LLM/AI-powered products and understanding when to use the technology to create strong experiences (preferred).
  • Experience with maps or geospatial data (preferred).
  • Ability to work in the US or Canada, preferably on the East Coast.
  • Ability to work in Eastern North America time zones: NST, AST, or EST.
  • Ability to work remotely from one of the approved countries, including the United States, Canada, the Netherlands, the United Kingdom, Ireland, Estonia, Portugal, France, Sweden, Denmark, or Switzerland.
