Description

  • Define and own the multi-year technical roadmap for the Knowledge Graph and contextual AI platform.
  • Lead, hire, and develop a team of applied scientists and research engineers.
  • Design per-tenant knowledge graph schemas, ontologies, and data models for the sales execution domain.
  • Own graph infrastructure decisions, including graph databases, query languages, storage engines, and tenant isolation strategies.
  • Oversee information extraction pipelines that turn calls, emails, and CRM notes into structured knowledge.
  • Lead reasoning and inference systems for next-best-action, deal risk, coaching, and competitive intelligence use cases.
  • Direct research on graph-based machine learning, including GNNs, relational embeddings, link prediction, and temporal graph networks.
  • Partner with Engineering, Product, Design, and Data to align science initiatives with product priorities.
  • Build research-to-production processes for experimentation, evaluation, A/B testing, deployment, and continuous improvement.
  • Represent the applied science function in executive reviews, roadmap planning, and technical design discussions.

Requirements

  • PhD in Computer Science, Machine Learning, NLP, or a related field.
  • 10+ years of experience in applied science or machine learning.
  • At least 3 years of people leadership experience managing teams of 5+ applied scientists or research engineers.
  • Demonstrated production-scale experience building and shipping knowledge graph, NLP, or graph ML systems with measurable business outcomes.
  • Deep expertise in at least three areas: knowledge graph construction, entity resolution, information extraction, graph neural networks, temporal reasoning, representation learning, or recommender systems.
  • Strong engineering fundamentals with the ability to write production-quality code.
  • Proficiency in Python or Golang.
  • Experience with graph databases or query languages such as Neo4j, SPARQL, or Cypher.
  • Experience recruiting, developing, and retaining top applied science talent.
  • Strong executive communication skills and comfort working in ambiguity.
  • Experience with multi-tenant knowledge graph systems with per-customer isolation and scale requirements (preferred).
  • Background in sales, revenue, or B2B SaaS domains, including deal cycles, pipeline management, and CRM data models (preferred).
  • Experience integrating knowledge graphs with LLM-based systems, including RAG, tool-augmented generation, or agentic frameworks (preferred).
  • Publications in top-tier venues such as KDD, NeurIPS, ACL, EMNLP, ICLR, WWW, or SIGIR (preferred).
  • Experience with graph databases at scale such as Neo4j or Amazon Neptune, including performance tuning and query optimization (preferred).
  • Familiarity with the Model Context Protocol (MCP) or similar agent-tool integration patterns (preferred).
  • Track record of building applied science teams from scratch (preferred).
