Description

  • Work closely with the Membership Product Manager to scope, design, and implement new products and features at scale.
  • Build and operate backend services and user-facing flows for membership sign-up, trials, renewals, upgrades, cancellations, and payment handling.
  • Develop secure, resilient subscription features across web UIs and cloud services.
  • Write testable and well-documented frontend code.
  • Collaborate effectively with distributed, diverse team members across the organization.
  • Apply software engineering best practices within your core domain and learn from teammates.
  • Support experimentation in pricing, packaging, and promotions for the membership experience.
  • Contribute to reliable, performant, and scalable systems that serve customers in 100+ countries.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of practical development experience, preferably including some full-stack work.
  • Strong programming skills in JavaScript/TypeScript.
  • Ability to write high-quality code with automated tests.
  • Familiarity with modern frontend frameworks such as React and modern state management.
  • Familiarity with backend technologies such as Node, Express, and GraphQL.
  • Familiarity with infrastructure tools such as AWS and CDK.
  • Keen eye for detail and ability to deliver well-functioning product features.
  • Pragmatic, delivery-focused mindset with the ability to balance short-term goals and long-term technical debt.
  • Team-oriented mindset and comfort working in a diverse, distributed environment.
  • Experience running, monitoring, and debugging production systems at scale on AWS is a plus.
