Description

  • Set the technical roadmap for the Reporting team, balancing new reporting capabilities with technical debt priorities.
  • Architect and own the systems that power report generation, data ingestion, and query performance.
  • Drive technical design discussions and make architecture decisions with engineers and stakeholders.
  • Diagnose production and quality issues, identify root causes, and reduce their recurrence through durable fixes.
  • Improve the data pipeline and reporting architecture to support more reports over more data, faster.
  • Maintain the admin portal and reports portal, and build new report dashboards as needed.
  • Work across the stack on frontend changes when required.
  • Collaborate with product managers, customers, engineers, and other stakeholders to translate reporting needs into technical solutions.
  • Mentor senior engineers and help raise the technical bar across the team.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of professional software engineering experience with staff/architect-level impact.
  • Deep expertise in ClickHouse, Python, and Django.
  • Experience designing and scaling data-intensive systems such as reporting, analytics, or BI platforms.
  • Experience with data pipelines, query performance, and handling large datasets.
  • Proven track record leading technical architecture decisions and cross-team design discussions.
  • Experience diagnosing systemic production issues and building durable fixes that reduce recurrence.
  • Comfort working across the stack, including frontend changes to admin and reporting portals.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical topics clearly and concisely.
  • Early-stage startup experience is a strong plus.
