Description

  • Design experiences for Oscar users across a range of use cases that support the company’s healthcare mission.
  • Become an expert on users and their journeys and advocate for their needs and pain points across the organization.
  • Own the design process from discovery through delivery in partnership with product managers, tech leads, engineers, data scientists, and business stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with other product designers through critiques and contribute to the broader design team.
  • Conduct user research and usability testing and turn findings into actionable design decisions.
  • Create visually compelling experiences and contribute to the Oscar design language system.
  • Bring the Oscar brand to life within product experiences.
  • Ensure work complies with applicable laws and regulations.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of experience in Product/UX Design.
  • 2+ concrete examples of designing and shipping complex web and mobile interfaces.
  • 2+ years of experience managing stakeholders directly.
  • Strong visual design portfolio.
  • Experience designing complex enterprise software, data-intensive platforms, or workforce management tools (preferred).
  • Ability to work autonomously across multiple technical domains from research through high-fidelity delivery.
  • Comfort using AI-assisted tools like Claude Code alongside Figma.
  • Experience with healthcare (preferred).
  • Experience with user research and prototyping (preferred).
  • Ability to translate requirements, goals, and research into simple, useful UI (preferred).
  • Experience with internal tools, system workflows, and power-user interfaces (preferred).
  • Ability to navigate technical constraints to deliver design solutions (preferred).
