Description

  • Own the portfolio strategy, design, continuous improvement, and long-term vision for specialty, multicultural, and innovative product solutions.
  • Determine which specialty and multicultural products are launched, expanded, modified, or discontinued based on performance, consumer insights, and market dynamics.
  • Identify product opportunities driven by member needs, health disparities, utilization trends, cost drivers, and market dynamics.
  • Define product intents, investment priorities, and roadmaps aligned to enterprise growth, equity, quality, and affordability goals.
  • Drive ideation and development of clinically informed plan designs for specific populations, conditions, and community needs.
  • Own innovation initiatives focused on affordability, access, and clinical differentiation, including benefit design, cost-sharing strategies, and targeted plan constructs.
  • Own financial and membership performance tracking, including projections, target measurement, and strategy adjustments based on data insights.
  • Oversee the development and integration of ancillary benefits and products while ensuring alignment with core medical offerings and regulatory requirements.
  • Set quality standards for documentation, requirements, and approvals, and execute plan designs through internal approvals and filings.
  • Lead cross-functional teams through product development, regulatory filing, implementation readiness, and post-launch performance evaluation.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or 4+ years of commensurate work experience.
  • 10+ years of experience developing and managing commercial insurance products.
  • 8+ years of people leadership experience, including managing managers or senior individual contributors.
  • 6+ years of experience developing, evaluating, and monitoring business cases, including revenue forecasts, cost structures, ROI, and long-term value creation.
  • Ability to travel up to 25% of the time.
  • Experience developing products for diverse, multicultural, or underserved populations (preferred).
  • Experience with affordability initiatives, clinically oriented plan designs, or specialized ancillary benefit structures (preferred).
  • Familiarity with ancillary products such as dental, vision, or supplemental health benefits (preferred).
  • Track record of developing leaders and shaping a strong team culture (preferred).
  • Experience with the Qualified Health Plan certification process (preferred).
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in business, healthcare, or a quantitative field (preferred).

  • Base salary of $180,504 - $236,911 per year in New Jersey, New York, and California, or $162,453 - $213,220 per year in all other listed locations.
