Description

  • Partner with internal departments to maintain current compliance levels across exchange operations.
  • Provide training to team members on regulatory compliance requirements and procedures.
  • Develop and implement compliance improvement plans when gaps are identified.
  • Delegate follow-up tasks to internal teams to help bring compliance levels up to standard.
  • Develop reports for governing bodies and regulatory authorities as needed.
  • Assist regulatory authorities with site visits, audits, and related external review activities.
  • Conduct regular audits across required areas to ensure ongoing compliance.
  • Support account management for CMS and state-based exchange regulators, including tracking technical and operational action items.
  • Escalate complex operational and technical issues to regulators while protecting compliance and Oscar’s reputation.
  • Serve as the lead contact for Oscar on exchange calls and external requests.
  • Build standardized processes for tracking dependencies, deliverables, and product or feature launches.
  • Collaborate with multiple teams to ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
  • 1+ year of experience in health plan compliance.
  • 2+ years of experience with State DOI health insurance rules and regulations.
  • 2+ years of experience with CMS ACA rules and requirements.
  • 2+ years of experience managing high-volume, complex projects and delivering work on time.
  • Experience with State DOI audit and/or reporting obligations (preferred).
  • CHC, CCEC, or a similar certification (preferred).
  • Experience in a startup and/or health tech environment (preferred).
  • Experience in a TPA setting (preferred).
  • Experience with state-based exchanges and the federally facilitated marketplace (preferred).
  • Experience improving and designing processes (preferred).
  • Experience attending external meetings with key regulatory staff (preferred).
  • Experience presenting complex concepts to senior-level staff for business decisions (preferred).

  • Base salary of $88,560 to $116,235 per year.
