Description

  • Own the development and evolution of the employer-subsidized product strategy, including target segments, value proposition, and market expansion roadmap.
  • Lead and contribute to business cases for new products, including return-on-investment assessments tied to membership growth, profitability, and brand experience.
  • Identify and assess growth opportunities across employer-sponsored, individual, and adjacent product spaces.
  • Define market-specific competitive positioning, expansion priorities, and right-to-win strategies.
  • Translate enterprise and market-level strategies into actionable product programs and measurable outcomes.
  • Partner with peers to translate strategy into scalable, fileable product designs.
  • Ensure ICHRA and emerging solutions align with product architecture, benefit design standards, and member value propositions.
  • Promote consistency and reusability through modular product design, avoiding one-off or fragmented solutions.
  • Serve as a primary connector across actuarial, network, market leadership, compliance, regulatory affairs, corporate strategy, distribution, and growth stakeholders.
  • Establish growth, retention, margin, and market competitiveness goals with corporate finance.
  • Support vendor and partner relationship oversight for emerging solutions and ensure operational processes mitigate risks.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree.
  • 8+ years of experience in healthcare, health insurance, commercial product strategy, or commercial insurance product management.
  • Experience directly leading a team of high-functioning contributors.
  • Experience working within the ACA marketplace across multiple markets, including individual or small group.
  • Demonstrated experience leading cross-functional programs.
  • Familiarity with insurance product lifecycle management, including design and execution readiness.
  • Willingness to travel up to 25% of the time.
  • MBA, MHA, or other advanced degree preferred.
  • Experience with ICHRA, employer-sponsored insurance (small or mid group), or non-traditional health insurance products preferred.
  • Exposure to regulatory filings such as PBT, SBC, and SOB and compliance processes preferred.
  • Experience developing or scaling new health insurance products or market expansions preferred.
  • Familiarity with network strategy, pricing dynamics, and actuarial partnership preferred.
  • Must reside in one of the eligible remote work states listed in the posting.

  • Base salary of $180,504-$236,911 per year in New Jersey, New York, and California, or $162,453-$213,220 in other eligible locations.
