Description

  • Own and evolve the core application surfaces, including the React web app, tRPC API, real-time UI, and admin consoles.
  • Define reusable platform primitives such as IAM, multitenancy, and audit logging for use across teams.
  • Architect and implement event-driven services and typed API contracts in TypeScript/Node.js.
  • Spend around 50% of the time writing production code on the most challenging areas, including auth flows, performance fixes, and real-time features.
  • Establish SLOs and observability with traces, metrics, and logs, and lead incident response for core surfaces.
  • Lead architecture reviews and ADRs, drive technical decisions, and set cross-team engineering standards.
  • Partner with the Platform team on Kubernetes, CI/CD, and security baselines to deliver reliable releases.
  • Mentor engineers and lead technical teams through major architecture changes and migrations.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of software engineering experience with TypeScript/Node.js and full-stack React development.
  • Deep experience operating production workloads on Kubernetes.
  • Cloud experience with GCP, AWS, Azure, or similar platforms.
  • Experience leading technical teams and major architecture migrations.
  • Strong mentorship track record.
  • Solid distributed systems fundamentals and experience with event-driven patterns such as Kafka or NATS.
  • Experience with security and compliance topics including OAuth2/OIDC, RBAC/ABAC policies, multitenancy, and audit logging.
  • Experience with observability tools and practices such as OpenTelemetry, Prometheus, Grafana, SLOs, and error budgets.
  • Experience in B2B SaaS or government/defense contexts is preferred.
  • Experience with on-prem or air-gapped deployments is preferred.
  • Open-source contributions or public technical writing/speaking is preferred.
  • Python coding skills are a nice-to-have.
