Description

  • Lead the engineering squad delivering solutions for defense customers.
  • Architect and ship mission features such as sensor integrations, workflows, and real-time dashboards.
  • Run on-site deployments and incident response, coordinating with commanders and SRE teams.
  • Harden air-gapped installations using GitOps, registry mirrors, audit logging, and zero-trust patterns.
  • Mentor forward-deployed engineers and collaborate with Product and Security on roadmaps.
  • Document accreditation evidence for BSI/NATO and capture post-mission lessons.
  • Work hands-on across TypeScript, Python, and Kubernetes in secure, disconnected environments.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of engineering experience with leadership experience in mission-critical or regulated products.
  • Hands-on experience with TypeScript/Node.js, React/Next.js, Python services, and Kubernetes.
  • Comfort operating in defense environments, including approximately 30% travel and on-call participation.
  • Strong background in security tools and practices such as Keycloak/OPA, Vault, and mTLS.
  • Experience with observability tools such as OpenTelemetry and Prometheus.
  • EU/NATO citizenship and eligibility for security clearance.
  • German language proficiency at C1 level or higher.
  • Experience shipping air-gapped systems, sensor integrations, or tactical data workflows is preferred.
  • Incident command certifications, OSS contributions, or public talks on mission software are nice to have.
