Description

  • Own the architecture and technical direction for Innovation prototypes, including interfaces, tradeoffs, and decision records.
  • Build thin vertical slices across UI, APIs, and data pipelines to ship demo-ready reference implementations.
  • Validate feasibility under cloud, on-prem, and air-gapped deployment constraints.
  • Partner early with Core, Foundation, and Platform teams to align prototypes with platform standards.
  • Produce handoff materials such as technical designs, schemas, runbooks, and integration backlogs.
  • Mentor engineers through design reviews and code reviews.
  • Set quality guardrails for testing, observability, and operability in prototypes.
  • Ensure prototypes are aligned with OIP core primitives such as IAM, audit, and multitenancy.
  • Lead time-boxed discovery and prototyping cycles while staying hands-on in implementation.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of engineering experience.
  • 2+ years leading architecture and delivery outcomes.
  • Expertise in TypeScript and Node.js.
  • Strong full-stack experience with React and Next.js plus backend services.
  • Strong distributed-systems fundamentals, including Kafka and event-driven design.
  • Practical Kubernetes experience.
  • Operational mindset with logs, metrics, traces, rollout gates, and SLO-oriented thinking.
  • Experience with OpenTelemetry and Prometheus (preferred as part of observability tooling).
  • Strong technical writing and cross-team collaboration skills.
  • Eligibility to work in Germany.
  • EU or NATO citizenship preferred for export-controlled projects.
  • Python proficiency and experience integrating ML enrichment services into product flows (nice to have).
  • Experience with OpenSearch or other graph/search systems and data-heavy UI performance (nice to have).
  • German language proficiency at B1 level or higher, or experience in regulated domains such as defense, law enforcement, or govtech (nice to have).
