Description

  • Lead and develop the Services leadership team, including hiring, performance management, and career development.
  • Establish operating rhythms, OKRs, portfolio reviews, and processes that support delivery quality and financial sustainability.
  • Partner with Growth on pre-sales, engagement scoping, Expert Days allocations, pricing, proposals, and deal negotiations.
  • Provide senior technical and delivery sign-off on scope, timelines, resourcing, and client commitments.
  • Advise governments, NGOs, consulting firms, and implementation partners on digital transformation, AI adoption, and OpenFn program strategy.
  • Represent OpenFn in strategic client conversations, escalations, conferences, and partner workshops.
  • Oversee traditional implementation projects and subscription-based Expert Days delivery, including quality and SLA adherence.
  • Own delivery-side financial accountability for gross margin, operating costs, invoicing discipline, and delivery efficiency.
  • Design and operationalize the transition from project-based consulting to a subscription-shaped delivery model.
  • Collaborate with Product, Growth, Operations, and Engineering leadership to align platform capabilities, delivery processes, pricing, and partner enablement.

Requirements

  • 12+ years of experience in technical or professional services delivery in B2B or B2G environments.
  • 5+ years of experience at a public-sector-facing technology organization.
  • 3+ years leading technical or professional services delivery teams.
  • Experience managing and developing managers or technical delivery leads.
  • Experience delivering large, national-scale technology implementations for government partners preferred.
  • Experience owning portfolio-level financial accountability, including gross margin, operating costs, and delivery efficiency.
  • Strong financial fluency and ability to translate targets into team operating discipline.
  • Experience scoping and negotiating complex, multi-stakeholder government, NGO, or enterprise deals.
  • Experience serving as the senior technical or delivery voice in commercial negotiations and public-sector contracts.
  • Experience working with external implementation partners such as systems integrators or consulting firms.
  • Working knowledge of project-based versus subscription-based revenue models.
  • Willingness to travel internationally at least once per quarter.
  • Excellent written and verbal English communication skills; French or Spanish proficiency preferred.
  • Background in international development, digital public goods, govtech, or global health preferred.
  • Ability to work effectively in a lean, fully remote organization with reliable internet, preferably in Africa/Europe time zones.
