Description

  • Own and maintain the engineering team backlog in a prioritized, ready-to-work state.
  • Prioritize strategic features, customer escalations, technical debt, and bug fixes, and make tradeoffs explicit.
  • Identify blockers early and escalate them to the right owner to minimize disruption to delivery.
  • Run engineering ceremonies including daily stand-ups, backlog grooming, sprint planning, and retrospectives.
  • Partner with Product Engineers to turn validated solutions into user stories, acceptance criteria, and a sequenced delivery plan.
  • Work with Customer Success and Support to triage escalations, define the real problem, and schedule the work appropriately.
  • Set realistic delivery expectations and provide regular updates on shipping status and risks.
  • Act as an advocate for the engineering team by protecting focus and maintaining clarity.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business, computer science, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years of experience as a Product Owner, Scrum Master, or Technical Program Manager in an agile B2B SaaS environment.
  • Strong knowledge of agile and scrum methodologies, with judgment on when to follow or adapt the playbook.
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize competing strategic, customer, and technical inputs.
  • Strong ability to identify blockers and escalate issues effectively without creating conflict.
  • Technical literacy to read API specs, follow architecture discussions, and reason about engineering tradeoffs.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Detail-oriented and structured, with the ability to manage a complex backlog and near-term delivery.
  • Collaborative, low-ego team player focused on team throughput.
  • SaaS platform and API integration experience is required; IT Asset Management, ITSM, or adjacent enterprise IT experience is a strong plus.
