Description

  • Own and manage the product backlog, ensuring user stories are refined, prioritized, and ready for sprint execution.
  • Translate business objectives, functional requirements, and architectural designs into well-defined Product Backlog Items (PBIs).
  • Partner with Product Managers, Program Managers, Architects, and Engineering teams to align delivery with enterprise priorities.
  • Help establish and reinforce Agile delivery structure within an evolving PMO governance model.
  • Drive backlog refinement sessions and ensure work meets Definition of Ready before sprint planning.
  • Identify risks, dependencies, blockers, and sequencing issues early and communicate impacts proactively.
  • Coordinate across multiple stakeholder groups to maintain alignment on priorities, delivery timelines, and scope.
  • Provide regular delivery updates to technical teams, line management, directors, and executive leadership.
  • Support release planning and execution while keeping dependencies and deliverables aligned across teams.
  • Act as a servant leader for the CIAM delivery team by removing obstacles and facilitating communication.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience as a Product Owner in Agile software delivery environments.
  • Experience supporting Identity and Access Management (IAM) or Customer Identity and Access Management (CIAM) initiatives.
  • Experience leading cross-functional delivery efforts involving engineering, architecture, security, and business stakeholders.
  • Ability to operate successfully within complex, highly matrixed organizations.
  • Strong understanding of Agile delivery practices, backlog management, user story refinement, sprint planning, and acceptance criteria.
  • Experience partnering with Product Managers and Program Managers to translate strategic initiatives into executable work.
  • Proven ability to influence stakeholders and drive alignment without direct authority.
  • Exceptional communication and facilitation skills, including presenting to technical teams and executive leadership.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining delivery momentum.
  • Experience identifying and managing delivery risks, dependencies, and competing priorities.
  • Ability to work West Coast business hours, including regular late afternoon meetings.
  • Preferred: previous software engineering or technical leadership experience.
  • Preferred: hands-on experience with PingFederate, PingOne DaVinci, or similar CIAM platforms.
  • Preferred: familiarity with Azure API Management (APIM), Cosmos DB, F5/Shape, or related identity infrastructure.
  • Preferred: experience supporting identity integrations for customer-facing or mobile applications.
  • Preferred: knowledge of fraud prevention, governance, and risk management solutions such as Outseer.
  • Preferred: experience within financial services or highly regulated industries.
  • Preferred: familiarity with Fiserv Corillian or similar digital banking platforms.
  • Preferred: ability to read and interpret technical architecture diagrams, sequence diagrams, and system integration documentation.
  • Preferred: experience implementing governance and delivery structure within Agile or PMO transformation efforts.
