Description

  • Serve as the primary technical contact for clients managing approximately 250–350 MW of distributed solar assets.
  • Review service visit reports and provide technical expertise during weekly client calls.
  • Build relationships with clients, field service partners, internal teams, and asset stakeholders.
  • Investigate asset issues using monitoring platforms and initiate performance improvements.
  • Create, manage, and oversee tickets for planned and unplanned service activities.
  • Coordinate field service partners and support onsite technicians during service work and checkout calls.
  • Collaborate with engineering firms on retrofits, repowering, and system redesigns.
  • Own the technical aspects of the commercial BESS program, including sales support, pricing, scoping, contract review, and implementation.
  • Develop and update standard operating procedures and QA/QC programs.
  • Support sales, product development, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of hands-on experience as a solar technician, installer, OEM field service engineer, or similar, including at least 2 years in commercial solar.
  • Experience with 1000V+ DC systems, three-phase AC interconnections, and advanced diagnostics for projects exceeding 500 kW.
  • 4+ years of professional solar industry experience, or equivalent leadership experience in account management, asset management, operations and maintenance, or field service coordination.
  • Familiarity with energy storage technologies.
  • Experience using solar monitoring DAS platforms and interpreting system design drawings.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, and CRM systems such as Salesforce or Zendesk.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, make independent decisions, and escalate issues appropriately.
  • Strong organization, process orientation, attention to detail, and professional written and verbal communication.
  • Ability to handle high-pressure situations, de-escalate conflict, and adapt to evolving business needs.
  • Preferred: commercial BESS expertise, NABCEP certification, and Salesforce experience.
