Description

  • Oversee and manage the quality assurance program at the project site.
  • Read and interpret plans, specifications, drawings, and codes throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Provide on-site observation, inspection, and documentation for OSP construction activities.
  • Monitor contractors to ensure fiber and related infrastructure are installed to customer requirements and engineering plans.
  • Verify quality standards and confirm compliance with project specifications and owner requirements.
  • Manage RFIs, submittals, special inspections, and materials testing oversight.
  • Attend project meetings and support engineers and construction managers as needed.
  • Identify potential hazards and help maintain safe working conditions for workers and the public.
  • Initiate actions to keep construction progress on schedule and solve on-site construction issues.
  • Work in diverse terrain and weather conditions across active job sites, with 100% travel to project locations.

Requirements

  • Five or more years of experience performing construction inspection specifically with Fiber/OSP.
  • Ability to read and interpret drawings, specifications, and codes.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to contribute effectively and work well on a team.
  • Valid driver’s license and a good driving history.
  • Schedule flexibility.
  • BICSI certification is preferred but not required.
  • Associate's degree in a construction-related field is preferred but not required.
