Description

  • Support strategic customer conversations with technical and engineering leaders and other stakeholders.
  • Lead technical discovery sessions to uncover endpoint security, passwordless, and identity threat challenges.
  • Deliver customized demonstrations and architectural sessions focused on Okta Device Access and Identity Threat Protection.
  • Design and execute outcome-focused proof of concepts that validate Okta’s value.
  • Prepare executive-level messaging and customer-centric solution points of view.
  • Provide strategic and technical guidance to Solutions Engineering teams across Okta and Auth0.
  • Collaborate with the Office of the Field CTO to surface field insights, customer needs, and market trends for Product and Engineering teams.
  • Deliver keynote presentations, webinars, and technical sessions at industry and customer events.
  • Contribute frameworks, tools, and content that help enable Solutions Engineering teams.
  • Partner cross-functionally with sales leadership, enablement, and Field CTO teams to support global initiatives and regional go-to-market efforts.

Requirements

  • Deep understanding of Active Directory and Azure AD/Entra ID, including GPOs, Kerberos, and OIDC/SAML protocols.
  • Experience with multiple identity providers such as Okta, Ping Identity, and Google Workspace.
  • Experience managing hybrid identity across on-premises and cloud environments.
  • Hands-on knowledge of FIDO2/WebAuthn, Passkeys, and passwordless authentication strategies.
  • Understanding of Desktop MFA, device registration, device posture signals, MDM/UEM tools such as Jamf, Intune, and Workspace ONE, and EDR platforms such as CrowdStrike.
  • Familiarity with certificate-based authentication and PKI.
  • Knowledge of modern identity attack vectors including phishing, token theft, MFA bypass, and lateral movement.
  • Experience with UEBA and interpreting threat signals to detect suspicious activity.
  • Experience designing integrations with SIEM tools such as Splunk or Sentinel and SOAR tools for automated response.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, with experience contributing to technical events.
  • Ability to travel up to 40% for customer meetings, industry events, and internal off-sites.
  • This is a remote position.
  • Hands-on experience with Okta Threat Protection features such as suspicious activity reporting and risk-based authentication is preferred.
  • Experience with other ITDR vendors or device access solutions is preferred.
  • Certified Identity Professional (CIDPRO), CISSP, CCSP, or CISM is preferred.
  • Scripting or automation experience with Python or PowerShell is preferred.

Benefits

  • OTE range of $224,000-$308,000 USD for candidates in the San Francisco Bay Area.
  • OTE range of $200,000-$275,000 USD for candidates in California outside the Bay Area, Colorado, Illinois, New York, and Washington.
