Description

  • Support sales and services teams in helping customers understand what they can achieve with Okta.
  • Digest customer requirements and articulate the business value of solving problems with cloud technology.
  • Own business architecture workshops and lead customer discussions about digital experience, IT infrastructure, and security posture.
  • Create collaborative workshop materials that synthesize customer experiences and sequence what is possible with Okta.
  • Assess user experience and business process impacts on architecture and solution design.
  • Collaborate with partners such as GSIs and boutique firms to deliver successful customer outcomes.
  • Capture field insights and continuously improve delivery frameworks and models.
  • Contribute thought leadership content such as articles, whitepapers, and blogs for Okta Professional Services.
  • Coach and mentor junior team members on projects and programs as needed.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of experience.
  • Previous functional or technical delivery and customer-facing experience, such as technology consulting.
  • Ability to build trusted relationships in customer environments.
  • Strong writing, facilitation, and storytelling skills for audiences ranging from individual contributors to executive leadership.
  • Ability to learn quickly and speak confidently with minimal preparation in sales or delivery scenarios.
  • Ability to set clear delivery expectations and meet commitments with minimal revision.
  • Experience working independently and in large-scale, matrixed team environments.
  • Ability to work effectively within a software delivery lifecycle, including scope, schedule, and budget constraints.
  • Experience with user experience and business process optimization.
  • Experience using persona definitions and journey maps to quantify identity solutions and inform technical design.
  • Ability to work with both technical and functional team members on delivery projects and programs.
  • Expertise in core SaaS principles.
  • Experience with at least one standard network security protocol, such as OAuth, OAuth2, SAML, or LDAP.
  • Understanding of core security concerns in typical applications, including password hashing, SSL/TLS, encryption at rest, XSS, and XSRF.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, MIS, or a comparable field preferred.
  • Typically 10-25% travel.
