Description

  • Own and continuously improve Oklo’s software quality assurance program and procedures in alignment with regulatory standards and team needs.
  • Serve as a liaison between software quality assurance and development teams, including mentoring team members.
  • Make quality assurance activities repeatable and efficient to support multiple product releases and engineering milestones.
  • Design and manage software infrastructure that supports quality assurance activities.
  • Collaborate with software engineers and other engineering teams to integrate QA processes into the software lifecycle.
  • Contribute as a hands-on developer by writing and reviewing code to maintain quality standards.
  • Work on broader software efforts such as data storage and analysis, CI/CD pipelines, simulation integration, and engineering tools.
  • Help ensure software quality across all stages of the software development lifecycle.
  • Support the development and implementation of testing and quality processes in a fast-moving startup environment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Math, Physics, or equivalent software engineering or quality assurance experience.
  • 5+ years of professional experience.
  • Proficiency in Git and experience with CI/CD.
  • Experience with all stages of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
  • Proven track record developing and implementing software quality assurance programs and testing, especially in quality-focused industries.
  • Demonstrated ability to work cross-functionally as both a QA leader and a hands-on developer.
  • Experience with quality assurance standards and frameworks such as NQA-1, NIST, DO-178C, or ISO 26262 (preferred).
  • Background in growing small software organizations (preferred).
  • Knowledge of GitLab CI/CD (preferred).
  • Fluency in Python and a solid background in software development (preferred).
  • Proficiency in Rust (preferred).
  • Experience with Typescript/Javascript, especially Svelte (preferred).
  • Experience working with large data collection pipelines (preferred).
  • Familiarity with optimization, statistics, and design of experiments (preferred).
  • Curiosity and passion for nuclear power, fuel recycling, and sustainable energy generation.

  • Salary range of $140,000-$180,000, depending on experience.
