Description

  • Support specialty work across design, research and development, program management, operations, physical protection, safeguarding, and material control and accounting.
  • Contribute to the development and deployment of advanced fuel recycling technologies and other fuel-cycle capabilities.
  • Collaborate with the team on solving open-ended technical problems in a fast-paced startup environment.
  • Propose creative and novel solutions to technical challenges as needs evolve day by day.
  • Communicate technical content and results clearly, both verbally and in writing.
  • Prepare and submit a resume and cover letter explaining your fit and interest in the team.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to deliver complex mission-driven projects.
  • Help advance Oklo’s broader mission of clean energy and advanced fission deployment.

Requirements

  • Background or interest in engineering or another professional specialty relevant to fuel recycling.
  • Passion for clean energy and advancing advanced fission.
  • Motivation to build technology and help get it deployed.
  • Ability to learn quickly and adapt in a highly iterative startup environment.
  • Comfort working with ambiguity and solving problems without extensive guidance.
  • Strong verbal communication skills for technical content and results.
  • Excellent writing skills, including clear, active-voice cover letters and other correspondence.
  • Detail-oriented approach with strong attention to grammar, spelling, and quality.
  • Willingness to travel to Oklo headquarters in Santa Clara, CA twice per quarter, plus be onsite for the first two weeks of onboarding.
  • Ability to pass a drug screening and comply with potential drug testing requirements.
  • Preferred: experience or interest in design, R&D, program management, operations, physical protection and safeguarding, or MC&A.
