Description

  • Work on the core infrastructure powering Arbitrum within the Nitro Backend team.
  • Tackle complex distributed systems challenges in a blockchain infrastructure environment.
  • Optimize backend performance to support scalability and reliability.
  • Contribute to the security of Arbitrum’s infrastructure and codebase.
  • Collaborate closely with research, product, and blockchain engineering teams.
  • Build and improve systems alongside experienced engineers across the Ethereum ecosystem.
  • Use rigorous experimentation to solve complex technical problems.
  • Help out beyond immediate day-to-day responsibilities when needed.

Requirements

  • Extensive production experience with a programming language that supports concurrency, such as Go, C++, or Rust.
  • Strong ownership mindset and ability to solve complex problems through rigorous experimentation.
  • Demonstrated ability to stay current with new technologies.
  • Open, transparent, and direct communication style with experience collaborating closely with teammates.
  • Openness to feedback, new ideas, and self-improvement.
  • History of making significant contributions to products you have worked on.
  • Security-focused mindset with attention to potential threats and vulnerabilities in code.
  • Familiarity with WebAssembly, especially writing high-performance, high-security code in production environments (nice to have).
  • Interest in, curiosity about, or experience working with blockchain technology (nice to have).
  • Experience working with compilers, architecting systems, and developing SDKs (nice to have).
