Description

  • Draft and revise scientific and technical documentation for a wide range of stakeholders.
  • Produce training materials, white papers, user manuals, reports, process diagrams, workflows, presentations, strategic plans, guidance, communication plans, studies, briefings, and meeting notes.
  • Review and edit critical project documents for spelling, grammar, context, flow, and clarity.
  • Manage multiple writing projects with varying deadlines.
  • Support the analysis, development, and editing of presentations, manuals, data diagrams, and complex reports.
  • Collaborate with program office staff to research and publish reports.
  • Support workflow processes to ensure timely completion of revision cycles and distribution of technical publications.
  • Conduct reviews of technical documents to understand complex systems and incorporate them into technical manuals.
  • Consult with internal and external customers and engineering teams to create or revise technical manuals.
  • Provide input on new processes or technology for integration into the technical publications model.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in English, Communications, Journalism, or a related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in technical writing or communications strategy and implementation.
  • At least 8 years of experience writing for federal government acquisitions and program management-related organizations or equivalent organizations.
  • Experience writing and editing complex technical material drafted by others using established practices, standards, and guidance.
  • Excellent organizational skills and a detail-oriented working style.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft and Google Suite.
  • Active DoD Secret clearance required.
