Description

  • Serve as the primary contact for technicians resolving field issues.
  • Identify, diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve complex customer and system problems.
  • Perform and oversee hardware and software repairs, updates, deployments, and removals.
  • Manage onsite resources during repairs and deployments, including contractors and Ocado employees.
  • Mentor and train coworkers to improve repair and maintenance capabilities.
  • Develop process improvements, implementation plans, and supporting documentation.
  • Oversee preventative maintenance schedules and repair procedures.
  • Support pre-deployment evaluations and communicate findings to stakeholders.
  • Travel to customer sites and offices across Southern California for service, deployment, and project support.
  • Work with engineering, product, service, sales, software, mechanical, and electrical teams as needed.

Requirements

  • BS or MS in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or related engineering field.
  • 5+ years of experience in a related industry, such as industrial automation.
  • Ability to independently perform complex repairs on mobile and industrial robotic systems.
  • Ability to communicate, de-escalate customer requests, and document issues clearly.
  • Experience supervising and training coworkers.
  • Experience supporting new robot bring-up and supervising installations.
  • Familiarity with industrial robot arms and autonomous vehicles.
  • Familiarity with automation and industry safety standards.
  • Ability to write and implement robotics preventative maintenance schedules.
  • Ability to interpret wiring diagrams, diagnose electrical problems, and write detailed reports.
  • Preferred experience with WMS and WES architectures.
  • Preferred experience working with network and software teams during project deliveries.
  • Preferred ability to use a command line interface.
  • Preferred experience designing and prototyping electrical systems and maintaining electrical schematics.
