Description

  • Provide business support to the multi-site engineering operations team to help manage day-to-day business operations and HR administrative activities.
  • Work with Business Support Specialists across the US and Canada to support site, team, and leadership needs.
  • Maintain accurate accounting records for site and team purchases and support accounts payable as needed.
  • Order office supplies and stationery and manage related deliveries and processing.
  • Coordinate team-building events, employee socialization activities, and other site communications or special projects.
  • Greet guests and visitors, and support site leadership with ad hoc administrative duties.
  • Coordinate new hire orientation, onboarding plans, and employment and payroll verification processes with HR and internal stakeholders.
  • Liaise with HR, Payroll, technology, security, facilities, Training, Supply Chain, HSE, and Central Engineering to address site needs.
  • Support health and safety tasks, reviews, audits, and basic policy orientation.
  • Help managers with performance and pay review meetings, employee engagement activities, and follow-up action plans.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business or a related field, or 4 additional years of relevant work experience in lieu of a degree.
  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience.
  • 1-2 years of human resources support experience preferred.
  • Ability to travel up to 25% as required by the business.
  • Comfortable collaborating remotely and with teams in other site locations.
  • Experience in a fast-paced, matrixed management environment preferred.
  • Experience supporting hourly employees required.
  • Experience in manufacturing, logistics, and/or warehouse industries preferred.
  • Proven ability to build credibility and relationships with employees at all levels of the organization.
  • Additional office environment experience in administration, facilities management, finance, and/or health and safety preferred.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize.
  • Proactive, pragmatic, and creative problem-solving approach.
  • Ability to work autonomously with little direction.
