Description

  • Own features from detection concept through production across browser extension, backend, and pipeline code.
  • Write content scripts and background scripts that interact with web pages and coordinate browser extension behavior.
  • Build backend services for event ingestion, enrichment, and alerting.
  • Develop systems that process and analyze large volumes of security events for the detection engine.
  • Work with security researchers to turn threat intelligence into working detections.
  • Contribute to code review and design discussions to improve team output.
  • Build detection systems that identify sensitive data being entered into LLM chatbots and other SaaS applications.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of software development experience, ideally across multiple areas or stacks.
  • Strong understanding of browser internals, including DOM APIs, the event loop, SPA routing, and CORS.
  • Prior experience building browser extensions, including content scripts, background scripts, message passing, and Manifest V3 limitations.
  • Strong TypeScript skills and comfort working in Python.
  • Willingness to write Rust, or existing Rust experience.
  • Experience working with data at scale, including event streaming, pipelines, and high-throughput ingestion.
  • Backend experience with APIs, Postgres, Elasticsearch, Kafka, or similar technologies.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal direction.
  • Preferred experience or interest in AI security topics such as prompt injection and data exfiltration.
  • Preferred background in detection engineering, SIEM, security operations, or building security tools.
